Went to the bank today to built a safty net for my frequently used account. Here’s what happened. (mind you, the language has been dumbed down to be humourous)

T: Afternoon, I want to transfer $xxxx from account A to account B
Clerk: Account B to account A….that will leave your balance into the negatives.
T: Dude, I know. But I want to transfer from account A to account B.
Clerk: But if you transfer B to A your balance will be in the negatives.
T: That’s not what I want to do, I want to put money from the account with more $$ into the one with less $$.
(Clerk calls his supervisor to ok it, then he calls his supervisor to ok it.)

Turning a 5 min job into a 10 min job. Good thing I have time to tolerate it today. ….it’s rather stupid that I have to repeat my decision 3 times before anything gets done.

didn’t went through with my french toast plan yesterday with obvious weather reasons(stupid snow). I ended up paying $7 for a not so appetizing salad at the school’s caf. It is compose of shreded lettuce, purple cabbage, carrots, slices of cold cuts, and half of a tomato diced with way too much cheap cheddar. That was a meal I rather not have had, but then again, I don’t want to go hungry in my late class.

The day went alright. The drive to school was pretty bad though. I’m plenty capable of controling the car even in the worst situations (I once drove a 25 degree uphill road on first gear, never once loosed control as I see idiots with their auto-trans slipping everywhere). It’s always the drivers around that makes me worry in winter driving. On the way to school, this moron in a 9X civic hatch back was tail gating me. For sakes, with 3 inches of snow on the ground and everyone doing 40, give it some room!

Obviously my friend V did a lot better in his winter driving, hence his msn tag "AWD WINS".  heh heh I want one of those too…though I don’t like its fuel econ much.

Anyway, I sent out an invite to dinner tonight on late late Sunday night and no one has replied. Since I got tomorrow off, I’m going be a prick and call them up for an answer. :p

This sem, my long long 3 hr break is on Monday. That mean I have nothing better to do than to get some lunch. This week I totally forgot to get some onigiri from j-town (I woke up super late, and with the snow I just don’t feel like driving there).  So what am I going to do for lunch? I will probably go to Kava for some french toast or waffles. hmmm….that’s something to look forward to.

3 am and finally I got a moment to not work. 
Today, my group and I had our first online group meeting. Tasks were assigned and since I got the db tasks, I had to start right away. If you’ve been following my blog you know we will be using Ruby on Rails. I have to admit, it’s damn easy to do just about anything. Somehow I still don’t like it. Possibly because I was working in Java + Oracle stored procedure bliss last sem. I can’t imagine taking up a job without either one. With that said, mySQL is the same as ever(lacks everything I like about db).

Enough about work. Today I went to dine at the local favorite restaurant(I ran out of vegy, so I wasn’t planning on cooking). Got there at 6, figure it’s early enough that I can get a table with my laptop on while I eat away. Turns out most tables are already reserved and I had to eat at the bar table. Half way through my meal, people are starting to pack in the entrance. People started sitting in those empty bar seats next to me waiting for a table. The guy on my right was rather irritating. That gajin asked for coffee+tea(hk style drink) with bad pronunciation. What’s so stupid about that? Well…let see, it’s a freaking Malaysia restaurant. At that point I really understand why the Japanese hate foreigners so much. The other thing is the way he sat. He was in this lazy posture  with one foot on the foot rest and the other touching the ground with his gut sticking out. That by the way is the most grottiest posture for a man to sat with. there are only 2 kinds of people who would sit like that. First is a sleaze bag who likes to show people their crotch. The second is a fatso who can’t sit right because he’s too fat. In either case, that guy was rather repulsive. I quickly finish my food and left. I gotta find a better place to eat, somewhere close by, decent food, comfy enviroment, best if they provide an outlet for my laptop(yes, I eat with my laptop).

I love fridays. Not because it’s close to the weekend but because I only have 2 classes and they are both labs. I kinda stroll through both classes not missing a single beat. What odd is that my mind wasn’t really paying attention, everything seems to have been done without my participation, especially with the VB lab. I never truely programmed in VB, and things just seem to come naturally. At the end of the lab, I know I’ve just done a lot of new stuff but I felt like I didn’t understand a single task I completed. (and it wasn’t a spoon feed lab neither, 5 mins in, he starts writing down what we need to make and that’s it, you start programming on your own.)

feeling tired today, 9:50am-7:00pm.  That’s like a work day’s worth of time spent at school. damn prj course. I was planning on working on labs and other stuff but…I’m just too tired to do any of that now.

Oh well, only thing to look forward to is skating this Sat night.  ….hmmm…not all that looking forward to it. Cummer community center is a rather crummy skating arena. The floor is not all matted (my $3xx skates don’t like concrete), too close to high school (I don’t like kids speeding around playing tag on ice), the staff won’t let you do spins in center ice.  :p   Monday nights at Ed Sackfield is the best. Adult skate 7-9pm.  Another thing is I don’t feel safe leaving my coat on the benches at Cummer arena,…or my boots. ….yea I live around that neigbourhood in my youth and it’s not exactly an "ideal" residential area. People live there either for the school or they have lived there since ever and don’t plan to move.

don’t know why this is happening, but for the first time in the 3 years of college, I actually don’t want to attend tomorrow’s classes…. must find that part of me whom wants the 4.0 GPA.

is picking up the recycling bin such a difficult job?
For I don’t know how many times this is, but the idiot who picks up the recycling bin left the damn bin right smack center of my driveway. I had to park my car to the side of the road, and walk outside to move the bin in the freaking cold then park my car back in the garage. WTF’s with that? Did the guy only learn to pick up the bin but don’t know how to put it down? 
geez…somebody give this guy some instructions to properly do his job, else next time I will throw a bottle to his head.

yes I’m in a foul mood, I don’t like classes that’s scheduled to run 5:10 to 6:40. Not to mention that it was suppose to be a attend first class and see you at the end of the semester kind of class. Now every thursday it will be like this.

I’ve been trying to catch up with the Bleach series (just done watching 59 today). I’m not exactly sure if the problem is with my router or youtube, but the connection seem to drop out every 7 mins or so. This leaves the videos half loaded and I have to clear the cache and refresh the page just to get it to start again. Got me rather pissed to the point where I swear at the screen(rarely done). Finally I found a solution. Open a dos prompt window and ping youtube every few minuits. This seems to keep the connection alive….still it’s a temporary solution. I should check the settings to see what’s happening, or just wait it out till I get the latest episode…which ever comes first. 

(then again, I’d probably not watch it at all and focus on the assignments.)
