4 near misses

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Thought my morning route of 2 intersection and straight to highway would be pretty safe….turns out it’s not.  Had 4 near misses today, none of them my fault of course. 2 in the morning, 2 on the way back. Way more than I ever want. This crazy woman in a red bmw drove right across 6 lanes from her appartment parking lot exit to the 407 entrance. WTF! I hate people like that. Making everyone wait just so you have 5 mins of convenience. Yea..it only takes 5 mins to drive to the next light, turn to a small street, do a 3 point turn and head back out. She was giving me these hand gestures, so I casually gave her the finger. (unusual of me, but I think she deserves it) It wasn’t out of anger just justice, if there’s such a thing.

sea

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

Do you ever miss the sea? I do.  Staring at the foggy rainy window at work yesterday, reminds me so much of stormy sea view. I’ve always live close to the sea till I came to Canada. Even when I was working in HK a few years back, I had a sea view from the office. There’s just something about a large body of water moving in inconsistent motion calms my mind. Wonder if I can afford a summer house at NFL someday. Something with a very morden design, and a big window facing the sea.

the dream revives

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

if you know me well, you know it’s always been a dream of mine to work and live in Japan. For a while, realizing I’m not getting any younger and chances of doing what I want is slowly closing, I kinda gave up on it. Just today, I found a way to make my dream come true. I’m still a bit undecided about whether I’m going to proceed with the plans. It’s a big decision. I can live my dreams or sit pretty with a stable life here in Toronto. Without much attachment to anyone, nothing is holding me back. well at least it’s an open option now.

stupid little things

Monday, November 28th, 2005

I bought a jar of gummy bears when I started work. Of all the flavours, I like the black currant the most. Much like everything else I do, I like to do the most difficult or whatever I dislike first then enjoy what I like to do last. So by now, the jar is pretty much all filled with black currant gummy bears. ^o^

Every morning when I get to work, I imagine the gummy bears screaming for their lifes as I reach in for my pick. : )   ….yes "normal" does not describe me.

woohoo

Monday, November 28th, 2005

After two and a half weeks working hard at it, the module is finished. This stupid section of the intranet site originally should only take 2 days to work out. A combination of bad coding(from previous developer), poor documentation and shitty logic made it a difficult task.  Yeah, it’s over, onward to another section!

this week’s dinner

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

tired of cooking every night, so this week I’m just gonna cook 2 big ones. Monday and Tuesday it’s chicken spinish alfredo rotini. Wed-Fri it’s fry rice. Oh and I’m also having the same thing for lunch. I don’t want cold lunchs this week. I’ve been eating cinnamon raisin bread as lunch for more than a month. Time for something tasty.

another Sat gone by

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

rather tired today…went out this morning to change my tired (woohoo winter tires), then went to Canadian Tire to get some course salt for the drive way, then the weekly grocery shopping. So tired that I didn’t even want to cook tonight, went out around 4 and got a pizza as lunch and dinner. Living alone sure is a lot of work. Sunday should be better. I think I might take my little laptop to the local coffee shop and pretend to be a student….wait I’m actually a student.

good timing

Friday, November 25th, 2005

I’m so happy I started skating a few weeks back, it got my back into shape. Just lastnight, I shovel the snow off my 2 car drive way, all cleaned in 45 mins. It was almost a non stop process. I did the same tonight after I got home, then lifted the winter tires into the trunk because I need to get them changed tomorrow. It’s all simple tasks but how often do you do all of it at the same time. Gonna have a lot of chances to shovel snow this winter, stupid company went on vacation….Guess the smart way to do now is to schedule all my classes in the afternoon.
