eatery review

Went to a ramen place at Warden and Steels today. You know there’s no good ramen place in toronto, and after today, I stick to that comment. Relatively speaking, the soup base at this place is better than other places I’ve been to but it lacks in everything else. The ramen was rather stales, it doesn’t have the elasticity of the real thing. I had the ramen with pork. If you’ve had the real thing you know this sucked. The pork slices were paper thin, you can’t really chew on it. The enviroment was well decored but way too packed. Service was alright but the waiters really need to learn their Japanese. Pronunciation was way off, and they don’t speak a word of Japan other than the "welcome" and "yes", I blame the owner for not educating their stuff. It was rather embarressing, there was this table of Japanese people there. They called the waiter over to take the order, the waiter said "hai", then that’s about it, the waiter don’t even know the menu items in it’s native language….for shame… Like I always say, if you can’t do it right, don’t do it at all.

Chances of returning to the ramen place…low, very low. Well…I might go again to check out their curry, but definitely not for ramen. (price is around $10 a person, not including drinks.)
