strange environment
It’s almost the end of my first week and I’m adapting to my job, mostly the work culture. The work culture is so different from what I’m used to. At 4:30 most of the staff already left. The whole place is so relaxed. No tight deadlines, good benifits, pension plan, health plan, it’s got everything. This is the type of job I should get when I’m at the end of my 40s and starting to think about retirement. The people there are really nice. It’s funny, the other co-op students there are so much in the mind set of what I used to have. Want to leave work before sunset, don’t care about pension plans or the future. I don’t think like that anymore, I got too used to the "abuse" if you can call it that. I need the long hours and piles work. Those make me feel alive, like I’m contributing 100% of myself to work.
Got off work at 5 today and 4:30 yesterday….doesn’t feel right.
