first day of work

Monday, September 12th, 2005

Got started at OPG today, it was good. Though I started to get a strange headache when I got up today. I feels a bit like I got hit on the head by something….I’m sure nothing like that has happened recently. It feels more like my brain’s hurting. Rather strange sensation, wonder if it could be something from the past. Hope it’s only temporary.

so I’m starting my job tomorrow

Sunday, September 11th, 2005

The security clearance finally gone through and I start work tomorrow. This is the 4th time I’m doing this sort of thing and I’m still not so sure how to approch it. First day of work, I should arrive promptly before 9 but in the IT world, that’s a bit early. There aren’t that many people who gets to work before 9, especially the ones who has the access to set you up with all the nessasities. I’m not saying they are lazy, but I just find it awkward, I usually end up sitting at an empty desk just waiting to get things started. I have thought about arriving a bit after 9 but that would make me look unprofessional…if there’s such a thing. Anyhow will see how things go, maybe the traffic will put me in the right place at the right time.

new hari cut

Hair Finally after 2 years, the long hair came off. A big thank you to Mr. Muramatsu. I think it’s the first sub $100 CND hair cut that I’m really really satisfy with. (not counting the hair cut my uncle in HK gave me, he always does a great job) Anyway, I definitly recommand anyone to get your hair cut there. (finally someone who can style my hair in a way that doesn’t look like I’m wearing a wig.)

at last random video playback

Friday, September 9th, 2005

While working on stuff, I suddenly felt like running my collection of mv on the tv. Then I remember, damn…I haven’t yet wrote the script to make a random play list (because mediaplayer 6.4 doesn’t support shuffle). So I went ahead and wrote it. Simple isn’t it? heh heh the advantage of being a programmer. It’s a stupid littler perl script but it works and I can just run it every time I want a new play list. Why perl? It just happens to be the last language I worked on, so the syntax is still fresh in my mind. I actually want a shell script, but that’s gonna take me another hour, I got other stuff to do.

Things you won’t catch me talking about in public

Anyone heard of that case in HK, where a stepmother hires someone to cripple her stepson? Morals aside, that was so badly planned, and executed. The whole decision was not thought through. First, the stepmother, to get your husband full attention without the child, crippling the child won’t do you much good. In fact, that will probably do the opposite, with the hospital visiting and special care. Second, the middle man, what kind of idiot would hire a 16 years old rookie for a left alive job? You should have hired someone who knows how to hide the evidence, won’t rat you out, and smart enough to know where to cut. Third, the (16 years old) executioner, you idiot, slicing the kid on the back of the wrist? Gave the kid 16 cuts and still can’t get the job done? Fuck you are stupid. To cripple means to disable all four limbs. Just make 4 cuts at the right places and that’s it. Elbow join, knee joint, or back of ankle. Cutting at the wrist is for a slow bloody death. For a faster one, you cut the back of the thigh or the neck. What else? $5000 hkd for a job like this, man…that’s like $7XX usd per limb, too low dont’ you think.  Doesn’t matter what you do, it’s how you do it that counts. …idiot….

oh and he was also using the wrong type of knife, he’s be better off using a hira-tsukuri tanto.

execise pays off

Saturday, September 3rd, 2005

bought some weights back in June, so I don’t have to weight train with a bronze sword. Been doing some light light execise since then, targeting mostly on the shoulder and triceps area. Little did I know, 3 months of weekly execise and it’s all in shape, just noticed it today. Tomorrow I should be able to chuck a baseball far without much effort. I’m thinking of wearing something more releaving so I can show it off.  Sounds pretentious and shallow but when you got it, you should show it (while still young). ; )

All stretched out and ready, 14 hrs from the game. hee hee hee

porn searches

Saturday, September 3rd, 2005

Anyone else pay attention to the "popular searches in my network" section on your friendster page? It seems there’s a lot of searches for porn on it. It’s rather disturbing to know that your friend or your friend’s friend is seaching for porn. Then there’s "it’s disturbing how stupid people are to be searching porn with a google/yahoo search engine". I’m guessing friendster get their stats from it’s own search feature, which bring the question, "why the hell would a person be searching for porn while they are logged onto friendster". These people…they get turn on from looking at friends’ profiles or something?….better just not to think about it.

time for hair cut

Friday, September 2nd, 2005

finally decided to have a hair cut. Just decided, haven’t had one yet. But it’s about time to save good bye to my long hair, so long that it’s down my back. Reason you ask? It’s not for my job, not for school, not for a girl, not for anything or anyone but me. Lately I found something unexpected about long hair, it traps a lot of dust. It’s gross when you see dust in your brush. I keep everything from my room to my car clean but hair still traps dust. So that’s it, time to cut it. Dont’ know where to do it, haven’t had a hair cut in 2 years, heh heh. Though very tempted to try that Japanese place at J-Town.
